If any harness racing family can be traced back to a galaxy of stars, it is the clan Chaaat belongs to.

For those trying to place the name Chaat, he is one of the impressive team of yearlings Breckon Farms will present at next month’s sale.

To be more precise, Chaat will enter the ring as lot 29 at the Australasian Classic Yearling Sale at Karaka in Auckland on Monday, February 16.

By ill-fated stallion Rocknroll Hanover, the striking youngster is from Group One winning producer, Braeside Lady.

Braeside Lady is the dam of former sensational filly, O Baby, which boasts three Group Ones among her nine wins for earnings of $391,273.

Braeside Lady is from grand broodmare, Breaside Star, which has the perfect record of six starters for six winners.

Breaside Star is from former top race mare and Group One producer, Tuapeka Star – dam of New Zealand Cup and Miracle Mile hero, Iraklis.

The family also includes Monkey King, Lavros Star, Brad Adios, Caesars Folly, Blue And Royal, Talaspring and Black Line.
