Giant T
Giant T - showing real grit in one of his recent victories.

Giant T won his 15th race of the harness racing season on Thursday (December 08, 2011) at Monticello Raceway with Bruce Aldrich Jr in the sulky he also has a modest two race win streak and if he wins one more race he will be in a virtual tie with Lorenzo Dream for being one of only two trotters in the country to have 16 wins so far this year.

The current leader Lorenzo Dream is in sole possession of 1st place with 16 wins and finished 4th in his last start on December 02, 2011 at Saratoga Raceway And Casino in the Open trot class and at the time of this writing Lorenzo Dream has not been entered to race in the United States leaving that door of opportunity open for Giant T.

Giant T claimed back in April of this year for the bargain price of $4,000 by the King Of The Castle Stable has turned out to be a winning move for the stable Giant T had only one win on the year when he was claimed and has since gone on to win 14 more times for his new connections with Robert Beauregard handling the training duties.

Giant T could possibly have three more starts before the New Year to try and accomplish his mission of getting those 16 wins to tie or maybe even 17 to take the lead from Lorenzo Dream we shall see.

Giant T was sent off as the odds on 4-5 favorite and went wire to wire in 2:03.0 on the off going at the Monticello Raceway oval Giant T returned $3.70 $2.70 $2.50 for the two dollar wager S F Sure Thing finished second (Rick Harp) with Majestic Man (Peter Lutman III) getting third.

When asked to comment on Giant T owner Tom Carpenito said "harness racing has been very good to me I get the thrill of watching my horses accomplish so much and develop in ways I never thought possible and I give all the credit to the trainer Bob (Beauregard) and the tireless work of all the great drivers he uses like Bruce Aldrich Jr that do such a great job on the track day after day and it all happens at my favorite racetrack Monticello Raceway".
