The four year olds mares contested the Axel Jensens Minelop (150,000NOkr to the winner, 2100 meters autostart) with the 1.13.3kr timed victory earned by Denmark’s 3.1/1 Carna Sensei (4f Prodigious-Line Sensei-Mr. Flirt) with Thomas Uhrberg aboard for trainer Steen Juel.
The 6.5/1 Normandie Royal (4f Orlando Vici-Lamitech Monique-Sugarcane Hanover) took second for trainer/driver Frode Hamre, and third was 4.1/1 Tropicana As (4f Manofmanymissions-Tropical Breeze As-Striking Sahbra) that was steered by Carl Johan Jepsopn for trainer Jerry Riordan.
The race record for this stake was set in 2016 by the Jerry Riordan trained and Christoffer Eriksson reined Treasure Kronos at 1.11.7kr.
The day’s featured event was the Axel Jensens Minnelop (300,000NIOkr to the winner, 1609 meters autostart, ten starters), a race that began in 1944 and has been raced annually ever since exceot for 1994 and 1996. The stake record was set in 2015 by Buzz Mearas at 1.11.5kr with Adrian Kolgjini up.
