Sunday’s €400,000 purse Grand Prix de France entrant count is now 16 including favorites Bold Eagle, Timoko and Oasis Bi plus some that could benefit from the shorter 2100 meter distance and the mobile start such as Un Mec d’Heripre, Bird Parker, Lionel, Trebol and perhaps Anna Mix.
This group also includes Italy’s Pascia’ Lest and Vaillant Cash, both with front-end speed.
Interestingly, the US-bred mare Vanity Matters (5f Explosive Matter-Vanity Plates-Conway Hall) remains on the starter list, with driver Pierre Levesque scheduled. Vanity Matters raced in the US for trainer Jonas Czernyson winning US$175,991 in 22 starts producing a 2-4-2 slate and a time badge of 1:53.1.
She is now owned by Jean-Pierre Barjon who owned Prix d’Amerique winner Meaulnes du Corta.
Vanity Matters raced nine times in Sweden in 2015 with a 2-0-2 slate and 160,635SEK earned for driver Bjorn Goop.
