Talented Hes Watching three-year-old Belladonna Girl completed a clean sweep of the Southern Cross Series at Globe Derby Park when she captured the Group 2 $50,000 Final on Saturday night (December 5).
The filly led from the outset and won effortlessly by 10 metres in a 2:00.6 rate for 2230 metres with the last two sectionals in 28.6 and 29.3.
She has now won five races and $54,395 in stakes.
On the same card the Hes Watching two-year-old Mostpeculiarmumma took out the Southern Cross Consolation to post her third success from her last five attempts.
Another impressive youngster by Hes Watching is Major Bracken, who won his second race from three starts at Bathurst, scoring in runaway fashion in a career-best 1:58.6.
Hes Watching was represented by eight individual three-year-old winners in three different countries in the first week of December.
He scored a double at Penrith with Magnifico To Watch (1:56.8), who notched his sixth win for the season, and Watching You Dream (1:58.8) and a ‘new’ winner in Trois Fontaine (Narrogin, WA).
In North America, Hes Watching’s winners included the three-year-olds He’s Swift (1:55.8), Illbewatchingu (1:56.6), Happy Looker (1:58.6), Saulsbrook Flashy (1:59) and Lady To Watch (2:00.2).
Hes Watching is standing this season at Tipperary Equine stud, Young (NSW) of Luke Primmer for the value fee of $2,500 including GST.
