Today’s opener at Vincennes, France was the Quinte+ Prix de Chateaurenard (purse 64,000€, 2700 meters, 16 European starters) and 7.6/1 Ce Bello Romain (f Jam Pridem-Miss Echo Bella) rallied to victory timed in 1.12.6kr for Mathieu Mottier and owner/trainer S.G. Dupont.
The winner recorded his 14th career win in 42 starts now for 335,290€ in life earnings. Even-money favorite Valokaja Hindo (8m Great Challenger) was second for trainer Jean Michel Bazire and 30.8/1 Baladin Hongrois (8g Bon Conseil) ended third for trainer/driver Arnaud Desmottes.
The 12/1 Cocktail Julino (7g Pagalor) and 5.1/1 Cerenzo Turbo completed the top five. There were 63 exact order winning tickets that paid 5,810€ for a 2€ wager. The Q+ pool was 3,619,747€.
The first of the groupe races this day was the Gr. III Prix Holly du Locton (monte, purse 60,000€, 2175 meters, 12 starters) for lightly raced three year old fillies. The even-money favorite Guerilla de Simm (3f Brillantissime-Poupee Charmeuse) scored with Joann Lebourgeois in the irons for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire as she scored for the second time in three career starts. 3.8/1 Girlikova (3f Torino Pierji) took second with Mathieu Mottier up for owner/trainer Emmanuel Allard. Third was 11.1/1 Grandissima (3f Viking de Val-Bellisima Love) with Mathilde Collet up for trainer Stephane Meunier.
The day’s program also included the Gr. II Prix de Nevers for five and six year olds (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters, six entrants of which one was a scratch). Of the five starters three were dq’s for miscues or interference. That paved the way for the 3/10 favorite Dorgos de Guez (6g Romcok de Guez) to score timed in 1.12.8kr for trainer/driver J-M Bazire and Ecurie Vautors. Dorgos now has life earnings of 394,780€ from 16 wins in 35 starts. The 5.8/1 Elnino Montaval (5g Magnificent Rodney) was second for Eric Raffin.
Bazire won two more on the card with 8.5/1 Erode Ludois and 8/10 odds Flora Venesi.
