One-Hour special dedicated to Hawthorne's Fall Harvest Festival
It's opening weekend of the Thoroughbred racing season at Hawthorne, and the Cicero oval doesn't waste any time drawing attention to itself, offering a trio of stakes races worth more than $1 million combined purses.
DAK Racing's Michael Costanzo plays point guard for handicapping Yoda Dave "The Thoroughbred Maven" Gutfreund and Daily Racing Form's Marcus Hersh, and together the team will break down the Grade II Hawthorne Gold Cup, the Grade III Carey Memorial and the Indian Maid during the course of Saturday's one-hour Horsin' Around TV special.
Horsin' Around producer Joe Kristufek is joined by Hawthorne television personality Jim Miller to break down the fall season and to provide the fans with useful wagering angles, and by marketing director Joe Scurto, who discusses why Hawthorne will become the Mecca of handicapping contests.
Kristufek also provides a special feature on the revolutionary new Polytrack surface, recently installed at Kentucky 's Turfway Park .
