Breeding season gets underway

Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW), in conjunction with the NSW Harness Racing Club (NSWHRC), is set to announce four exciting initiatives designed to stimulate the NSW breeding industry.

Forming part of the official launch of the NSW breeding season at Pepper Tree Farm on Sunday, these strategies represent an investment of more than $500,000 over the next 12 months.

HRNSW Chief Executive Sam Nati said: "Two of the initiatives involve a further arm of the NSW Breeders Challenge which is specifically designed to support the breeding sector within this state.

"The other two are part of the broader Breeders Challenge offering, but all of them aim to resonate with grass roots participants and attempt to reconnect with breeders that have reduced their recent involvement."

Full details of the initiatives will be released on Sunday afternoon and available on the HRNSW website thereafter.

HRNSW would like to thank all the studs involved in the NSW Breeding Season Launch including Pepper Tree Farm, Yirribee Pacing Stud, Success Stud, Lonsvale Stud, Golden Gait Stud, Brooklyn Lodge, Medowie Lodge and Lochend Stud.
