"He's no champion but he is very honest and I think the 2570 metres is going to be a big plus for him because he keeps on going," Thomas said.
"I had planned to send him to Kerryann Turner at Menangle in March but when they announced they were closing the track for resurfacing I thought it might be best to keep him with me and chase a few of the Carnival Of Cup races with a few to be run around my area."
The horse is raced by a good friend of Thomas'.
"Robbie Wakeman owns Dealer, he delivers the bread to different places around Leeton and comes out and helps me as soon as he is finished in the mornings and is a great help around the stable."
"He tells me he is going to retire in April which is music to my ears because that means he will have more time to spend with me at the stables giving me a hand."
Talented juvenile Business In Motion is close to a return despite not being sighted at the trials.
"I was hoping to start him at Albury but the race didn't stand up, the Wagga Derby might be a good option the following week and then I was considering taking him back to Bathurst during the Gold Crown carnival but there is also a good option in Victoria so I will just wait and see how he goes early on in the preparation."
"He hasn't raced since the middle of last year and while he hurt his leg it wasn't serious and he has just had a really good break."
