Queensland's leading trainer
"Majestic Mach has really strengthened up in his break and if everything goes to plan then he will be in the team that I take to New South Wales," Dixon said.
"That Mount Eden Final looks a great race for him and he has been to Menangle for the NSW Derby and he handled the track really well so as long as he trials well in the next couple of weeks then he will be there."
Dixon is also considering brining pacers such as the calibre of Field Officer, Only The Brave, Alberto Contador, Best Deal Yet and Devil Dodger and is contemplating bringing two three year olds as well.
"I'm still up in the air with the rest of them but I will be bringing a minimum of six horses down for the carnival, I was very happy with the performance of Field Officer in the Be Good Johnny Sprint at Albion Park on Saturday night and if he measures up here in Brisbane over the next fortnight I would like to give him a chance to qualify for the Miracle Mile."
"He hasn't been in the country all that long and I would expect him to improve off what he did on Saturday but he is going to have to compete against better horses as well."
Alberto Contador has been racing extremely well in Brisbane but Dixon is unsure about targeting mile races at Menangle with him and will be concentrating on staying events.
"Alberto Contador has charged through the grades pretty quickly but every time I step him up he seems to handle the class rise, I'm a little bit concerned how much high speed he has but he seems to follow solid speed well, I'm not sure mile racing is his go, he is looking for something a little further."
