Hunter Valley harness racing trainerhas confirmed he is aiming at least ten horses at the upcoming Queensland carnival including his stable stars Mach Beauty and Suave Stuey Lombo. Mach Beauty returned from a break at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday night winning his first start since the 2014 Inter Dominion final in March but Tritton is hoping to get more runs 'under his belt' before heading north.
"Ideally both Mach Beauty and Suave Stuey Lombo will have another two runs before heading to Queensland and I'm planning on leaving on July 1 but I guess it will all depend on what races stand up in the next couple of weeks," Tritton said.
"Apart from those two, Yayas Hotspot, Light In Every Day, Im Supersonic, Aspiring Artist, Marty Monkhouser, Chance, Gliding Rose and Brave Wiggy are all going to make the trip too."
Tritton has not ruled out taking other horses for midweek races in Brisbane.
"The first ten are locked in and I'm thinking about taking some more up but we will just have to wait and see what happens. I will be staying at Stuart Hunter's property while I am away."
Whileis the stable's leading driver, Tritton is hoping will make the trip as well.
"David will get the offer to come up, he has been doing a great job for me recently especially when Lauren was out but I guess it will depend on whether he has other commitments in Sydney at the time."
Ardghal, another of Tritton's team will go to the paddock after his effort behind Mach Beauty on Saturday night when he finished last beaten more than twenty metres.
"He has done a really good job for us but he raced like a tired horse on Saturday night and has gone for a spell. He arrived from New Zealand and competed in the Inter City Pace and six weeks later he raced in a heat of the Inter Dominion."
