Rojan Stables, L A Express Stable, Allan Kaplan and Howard Taylor's He's Spooky ($3.80, Jon Roberts)) made his first career start over a half-mile track a winning one Wednesday (August 29) with a 1:57 harness racing triumph in the featured $18,000 Open Trot at Harrington Raceway.

The Mike Hall-trainee left alertly from post six and set fractions of 28.2, 58.3 and 1:28.2 with Allmar Surprise in the pocket heading into the stretch run. He’s Spooky required only minimal urging in the stretch to fight off Allmar Surprise’s charge down the passing lane.

A fast closing Sea Raven was third.

It was the first start for He’s Spooky for new conditioner Hall as he picked up his fifth win of the year.

Driver George Dennis had four winners on the program.
