FINDLAY, OHIO -- The Hancock County Fair Board and area horsemen in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio are racing for the cure this Thursday, August 29 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Immediately following races three and seven on the nine race card, local dignitaries and celebrities will “race for the cure.”
Scheduled to race are Hancock County Sheriff Michael E. Heldman, Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik, Hancock County Fair Board President Tom Warren, local radio talent Vaughn Wickerham and breast cancer survivors Kara Ward and Cathy Lauck.
In addition to the monies raised in the charity races on wagering and the donations of local businesses as sponsors, the Foundation will also be selling t-shirts and accepting donations from the public.
The first-race post time at the Hancock County Fair is 5:30 p.m.
