Freehold, NJ — Four-year-old male pacer Wiggle It Jiggleit, who won last Friday’s Dan Patch Stakes, returns to the No. 1 spot in this week’s harness racing Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, unseating 5-year-old rival Always B Miki, who finished second in the Dan Patch.
Hannelore Hanover, a 4-year-old female trotter who won last week’s fourth round of the Miss Versatility Series, remains third and is followed by 3-year-old male trotter Marion Marauder and 3-year-old male pacer Control The Moment, who were both idle.
Betting Line moves from eighth to sixth thanks to the 3-year-old male pacer’s win in the Carl Milstein Memorial Invitational last Saturday. Pure Country, a 3-year-old female pacer who finished second in the Milstein, is up one spot to No. 9 in the rankings.
There are no newcomers in this week’s Top 10.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The U.S. Harness Writers Association votes in December on all division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
