Hawthorne Race Course in Stickney has recently welcomed Lorelei Camp as the Director of Group Sales and New Business Development as well as named Scott Floersheimer as the new Director of Operations.

Hawthorne RaceCourseis celebrating 100 years of family owned and operated racing in 2009. This milestone makes them the nation's oldest family owned track.

Before joining Hawthorne Race Course, Lorelei Camp was the McCormick Foundation's Freedom Museum's Director of Operations, where she was responsible for the museum's day-to-day operations, and a wide spectrum of special events, including working with on-site television shoots for "What Not to Wear" and "Lou Dobbs Tonight."

Prior to joining the Freedom Museum, Lorelei was the Assistant Director of Guest Service Operations at Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo where she oversaw all aspects of guest services including the anniversary celebration and special events. Camp also previously served as a Guest Service manager at Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge where she was a part of the highly detailed planning for special events as well as worked in operations and events for the MGM Grand Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

Camp is currently completing her Masters in Management degree at North Park University in Chicago, and she has post-graduate certification in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Fundraising from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor's degree in Hotel-Restaurant- Institutional-Tourism Management from Purdue University.

Scott Floersheimer has also been named the new Director of Operations for OTB Parlors and Catering at Hawthorne. Floersheimer comes with a wealth of knowledge in multi-unitoperations including recently working in the opening of Millennium Park.

He was responsible forprofit & lossl performance as it related to bothoperations and food & beverage. Prior to Millennium Park, Floersheimer wasalso previously the Director of Operations for Rain Forest Cafe and Hard Rock Cafe. Floersheimer received his Bachelor's degree at Florida International University.
