Highly talented three-year-old filly Helena Jet made it three straight wins when taking out today’s 2-4 win Coupland’s Bakeries Timaru Winter Cup in emphatic style.

ope, was having her first start from the stand start today and after a slight
obble quickly came down into her gear before settling in the one out one back
osition. She then made her move on the home bend, and raced clear with another
ood three-year-old filly in Safedra, before eventually pulling out too much in
he home stretch.

f a lengths separated Helena Jet and Safedra at the line with a further ten
enghts back to Maximan on third.
The last 400
f the 2600m journey was recorded in a slick 27.1, which proved too much for
any of her rivals.
