Crapaud, PE – It was a record setting day on PEI as for the first time in Atlantic Classic Sales history the total sales exceeded $1 million. Woodmere Fenn was the sale topper at $26,000, sold to Pat Morris of Charlottetown. The Rollwithitharry gelding was consigned by Woodmere Farms from their 1.50.3 record broodmare Four Starz Roe.
Woodmere Farms also consigned the top selling filly Woodmere Cha Cha which sold for $ 23,750 to Morah Kerr, Phonsie MacEachern and Steve Downey.
The top selling trotter was Infinite Force, consigned by Michael Clarey and Edward Blaisdell, and sold to Rick Adams for $10,500.
Sale Manager Wayne Pike said "we were able to achieve $1.1 million in gross sales as a result of the tremendous support from our buyers, great quality offerings from our consignors, and increased support from the provincial government into the PEI Harness Racing Industry."
