The Prix Victor Regis (Gr. II, purse 85,000€, 2175 meters, eight starters) completed today’s groupe level action at Vincennes and in this one 15/1 Hohneck (3m Royal Dream-Caranca) scored in 1.12.2kr for pilot Yoann Lebourgeois, and owner/trainer Philippe Allaire.

This J.P. Guay bred colt now has five career wins in 10 appearances for 111,340€ earned. The 5/10 favorite Hooker Berry (3m Booster Winner-Osaka Berry) led throughout for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and just missed holding on for owner/breeder Michel Aladenise. The 5.8/1 Heatbreaker One (3m Alto de Vietes) finished third with Bjorn Goop up for trainer Luc Roelens.

Fourth was 4.6/1 Hede Darling (3m Password-Queen Darling) for driver David Bekaert, trainer Kevin Vanderschelden and owner Jean Pierre Dubois. Hede Darling was an RNA at the August 28th Osarus Trot mixed sale. 71/1 Havaroche (3m Sam Bourbon) landed fifth for owner/trainer/driver Louis Baudron.


The aforementioned Osarus Trot mixed sale saw five horses sold at 120,000€ or more.

The Osarus sale had 136 lots cataloged n112 were offered. Of these 62 were sold for an average of 37,492€.

Back on the racetrack, there were several “overnight” events on the Vincennes program today. Jean Michel Bazire drove two winners from his stable. The 3/10 odds Valzer di Poggio (6m Love You-Glory di Poggio) won the Prix de Perpigran (41,000€ purse, 2100 meters autostart, nine starters) timed in 1.12.3kr for his ninth victory in 13 appearances now for 216,440€ earned.

Bazire also won with the Swedish invader Tjacko Zaz (8g Crazed-Kinoras Zaz-Angus Hall) at 2.4/1 and timed in 1.11.6kr in the Prix de Lagny (42,000€ purse, 2100 meters autostart, 12 starters). Tjacko increased his life earnings to 142,428€ with this first start victory in France. He was a former Gold Division winner in SWE.

Earlier in the Prix Sn Selle Pour Nos Soignants (purse 49,000€, 2850 meters, 16 starters) the 2.1/1 favorite Diamond Charm (7g Prodigious-Pole Position) rallied from the backfield to win in 1.14kr for Jean Philippe Dubois. Philippe Moulin trains this one for Dubois’ Ecurie Victoria Dreams and Diamond Charm won for the 19th time in 54 starts for life earnings of 243,570€.
