Formal Affair, one of the hottest horses on the Maritime circuit, is back in Charlottetown to take on a super star line-up in the Saturday night feature harness racing event at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino.

Post time for the legendary CDP oval is 6pm with the action beaming world-wide at www.redshores.ca

Formal Affair drew post six in the power-packed field for driver Mark Bradley and trainer David Rose. The six-year-old Real Desire gelding, owned by Dale & Ronne Rennie, Elmsdale, has been touring the invitational ranks making stops at Truro, Fredericton, EPR and Inverness while posting win after win in the top events. The lifetime winner of $122,950 has 10 top three finishes out of 11 starts, six of which were wins this season.

It won’t be easy. Outlawpositivcharg has also been entered for the match-up for driver Terry Gallant while red hot Riccaras Sun, who’s won his last three, gets the services of Brian MacPhee. Brian’s son Brodie will drive Governor’s Plate winner Serious Damage while Blue Star Outlaw, with Jason Hughes, and Oakrock Almighty and Ron Matheson, score inside.

RED SHORES SUMMERSIDE

The field is set for Sunday at Red Shores Summerside with Ready Cash listed as the morning line favorite in the afternoon top class. Post time is 1pm with the action being carried live at www.redshores.ca

Ready Cash, with Walter Cheverie, leaves from post seven for owner Alan MacDonald, Charlottetown. The son of Cambest was clocked in 1:55.3 in his last start and has to battle the hard closing Blue Meadow Willie and driver Bob MacInnis from post 3.

Tobins Paradise ships in from the Robert Laffin stable while Royal Stewart, who has back to back winning performances, leaves from post 2 for trainer Norman Myers. Heavyweights Rich Raider and Carnivore complete the field.
