Harness racing driver Phil Hudon reached the 4,000 win plateau on Thursday night at Mohawk Racetrack.
Hudon, who came into racing action Thursday just win one shy of the milestone, guided pacer New York Nightmare to victory in the evening's third race to record his 4,000th win.
A resident of Guelph, Hudon, 40, has been a regular on the Woodbine Entertainment circuit for more than 15 years.
Over the course of his career, Hudon has recorded 12 $2 million seasons and has driven the winners of over $48 million.
Hudon's biggest victories of his career came with millionaire pacer Big Jim, as he guided the son of Western Ideal to victories in the $600,000 Breeders Crown and $709,000 Governors Cup in 2010.
Another prominent victory for Hudon was in the 2007 Gold Cup and Saucer with Silent Swing.
He was also the regular driver behind Mister Big during his two and three-year-old seasons.
Last season, Hudon recorded his highest win total since 2006 with 199 victories and earnings of over $2.2 million.
Hudon currently has 73 wins and over $1.1 million in earnings in 2015.
The Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to congratulate Phil on the milestone and wish him continued success.
