Idealist and Jim Morand upset at 11-1 odds

DOVER, Del. --- Idealist wore down Ooh Dear Sam in deep stretch to score his seventh victory of the year in 1:53.1in the $20,000 Male Claiming Allowance pace, the Tuesday, Nov. 5 feature at Dover Downs. Corey Callahan wins four.

Jim Morand rushed Idealist up on the outside to challenge front-pacing Ooh Dear Sam (Tony Morgan) at the three quarters and the two battled around the final turn and half way through the stretch before Louise Kinsey-conditioned Idealist pulled off for victory. Hasty Western (Allan Davis) was the show horse.

Bill and Barbara Kinsey own the 10-year-old altered son of Western Ideal-Carolache, who now has earned $47,415 this year and $305,218 lifetime.

Sean Bier guided John James' Wambam Sam, trained by Crissy Bier, to victory in 1:54 to win a $15,000 Male Claiming Allowance. Aiden's Artist (Allan Davis) was runner-up with Brisk Clipper (Roger Plante) third.

Meet defending driver champion Cory Callahan drove four winners.
