Smart pacer Importer Exporter will be looking to give trainer Chris Winston his second metropolitan success and his fifth win in succession on Friday night when he tackles the Budget Stockfeeds Conditioned Handicap.
He will jump from the second row on a ten meter handicap for reinsman Callan Suvaljko, with likely favourite Norvic Nightowl a further twenty meters behind him.
Importer Exporter began well enough to lead at his last start and rated 2:02.2 for the 2500m SS at Bunbury where he was untroubled for a majority of the race before sprinting home stoutly in 56.3 27.2.
Norvic Nightowl was one of 6 winners on last week’s card for Hall Snr and looks set for an Inter Dominion campaign later in the year.
He rated 1:53.4 after being 3-wide for 1000m first up last week – but will need to find an extra 743m to win this event.
“Norvic Nightowl is set for a great year” – trainer Gary Hall snr.
Our Ideal Act will start from the front row off a 10m handicap for trainers Greg and Skye Bond. The Ryan Warwick driven gelding is searching for three wins in a row after winning from 50m last start at Narrogin, rating 1:59.8 for the 2636m trip.
