Wednesday's Grand Prix Anjoy-Maine (Gr. International, 100,000 euro purse, 2875 meters with handicaps, 17 starters five-ten year olds) at Hippodrome Meslay du Maine was taken by Sanity (7g Love You-Flash Light)with Franck Ouvrie driving for owner Stall Sanity.
It was the second straight win by Sanity over international competition and in this one he overcame a 25 meter handicap to score in a late charging finish in a quick 1.09.2kr.
The win took Sanity’s lifetime earnings past the 800,000 euro mark. Rire Mutin (8g Bijou du Bignon-Miss Mutine) was second for Pierre Vercruysse and Radjah de Venel was third for Anthony Barrier. This pair traveled the 2875 meter distance.
