Its All Magic and Gisela AS showed their talent Monday night in a pair of $20,000 In Free eliminations for freshmen trotting fillies at Mohawk Racetrack. Its All Magic, the 3-5 favourite, and harness racing driver Randy Waples took the first elimination in 1:59.4.

Tymal Sonata (Luc Ouellette) took the field to the opening panel in :30.3, but made a costly break in stride. Alegrion (Louis Baudron) inherited the lead before being overtaken by Princess Fortune (Anthony MacDonald).

As the fillies went by the half in :59.3, Waples was on the outside with Its All Magic and was the tempo-setter past three-quarters in 1:30.3. Kylie Hall (Doug Brown) was first-over and was in contention at the top of the stretch.

Its All Magic and Kylie Hall were inseparable down the stretch, but Its All Magic propelled to a one and a half length score over Kylie Hall, with Princess Fortune finishing third.

Its All Magic, a daughter of Kadabra-All Time Favorite, scored her first career victory in her second attempt for trainer and co-owner Phil Coole, along with Donald Leschied. She lifted her career earnings to $20,040.

Gisela AS used a quick turn of foot around the final turn to take the second elimination for driver Jason Brewer in 2:01.

Annies Deal (Luc Ouellette) brushed quickly to the front from post nine to lead her seven rivals past the first quarter in :30.2 and the mid-way point in 1:01.

Post time favourite, Talbotcreek Jewelry (Paul MacDonell), was first-over with Gisela AS tracking her into the far turn.

Before three-quarters was posted in 1:31, Brewer sent his charge three wide and Gisela AS struck the front as the fillies turned for home.

The daughter of Infinitif-Golden Door Lindy would score the victory for trainer Anette Lorentzon over Idonette (Louis Baudron) and Bavarde (Dustin Jones).

Gisela AS scored her first career victory in her second lifetime start for owner ACL Stuteri AB. Her freshman earnings climbed to $10,325. She paid $6.40.
