Jereme’s Jet, the 2-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year as voted by the U.S. Harness Writers Association in 2005, won a qualifying heat at Pompano Park on Friday morning, covering the mile in 1:54.1 while pacing the final quarter in :28.2.

The Tom Harmer trainee hasn’t started since the $250,000 Windy City Pace at Maywood Park on November 17, 2006, where he crossed the wire first.

In his juvenile season, Jereme’s Jet, a son of Western Hanover out of the millionaire mare Ohyouprettything, earned $1,039,376 with victories in the $840,000 Metro Stakes Final at Mohawk, the $593,032 Governor’s Cup Final at Woodbine, and the $575,400 Breeders Crown Final at the Meadowlands.
