Last Saturday night (November 5) at Balmoral Park, Just Like Dream won the $250,000 American-National Final, and in doing so brought some prominent French blood into the winner’s circle.

The winning filly is out a French mare, Just Like That, who was sired by Buvetier d'Aunou, a Franco-American stallion by Royal Prestige, who is out of a French mare, Nesmile, who in turn was sired by another great French performer, Defi d'Aunou.

Just Like That’s dam, Slave, is by Jiosco, who finished second in the Prix d'Amerique in 1982, and later became one of France’s top stallions.

Just Like That had raced 10 times in France and won four races, two of them at l’Hippodrome Vincennes, in Paris.
