The weather has taken a turn for the worse at the Plainridge Racecourse in Plainville, MA, because the light weight harness racing driving colors have now turned into the winter colors. The winds have picked up and we now see temperatures in the thirties, which is quite a difference now, but not for John Kakaley, who braved the elements Friday to win the final three races on the card.

He drove in four races and pulled off a win in the sixth on Franco Sequel N owned and trained by Dawn Anderson in a time of 1:59.1 and paying $5.00, in the seventh aboard Jay Bees King N owned by Mathew Kakaley of Streetsboro, OH and trained by Linda Kakaley in a time of 2:00.1 paying $6.20 and capping the last race aboard Angel Quest owned by the Big Frank Stable of Parkland, FL in a time of 1:59.1 paying $4.80.

Satin Time N and Dawn Anderson going off as the 3/5 favorite, got back on the winning track in the New England Amateur Drivers Club by winning the race, going wire to wire in a time of 1:59.2 paying $3.40 with Barry Caruso and Mister Hayes staying in second place for the whole mile and with a late rush and coming in third was Andy Harrington, who is starting to show his talents, with a second and third in his first two starts in the amateur club. This is the fifth win in six starts for this talented horse who is in his fourteenth year, with earnings of $23,003.00 out of 38 starts with 14 wins, 5 seconds and 6 thirds.

Racing continues at the Plainridge Racecourse with post time at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and qualifiers on Tuesday ay 11:00 a.m., with racing continuing to November 28, 2009.
