Kyle Ater had four winners at Miami Valley Raceway
LEBANON, OH. - Driver Kyle Ater had a hot hand at Miami Valley Raceway on Wednesday night, ignoring frigid temperatures and strong night-long wind gusts to notch four wins for four different trainers on the 11-race program.

The 37-year-old reinsman's opening effort was an indication of what was to come as he guided heavily-favored Lama Blue Chip to an impressive maiden victory in the night's first contest. Owned by L A Express Stable and trained by Ater's father Dan, the three-year-old Art Major colt was making his first local appearance following three uneventful starts at The Meadowlands to begin his career.

Ater returned to the winner's circle following the fourth race when he guided He's The Bomb to a narrow 1:58 victory over Southbound (Shawn Barker II) and Cam's Best Kiss (Jeremy Smith). It was the tenth lifetime victory for the Jate Lobell gelding owned by Watermark Farm LLC and trained by Jeff Smith.

A pair of back-to-back longshot triumphs completed Ater's grand slam in the eighth and ninth races. Mischief Man took advantage of his second tier start to top a full field of $5000 claimers at odds of 8-1. Ater guided the Jody's Cam gelding to his 26th career win with a 1:57.2 clocking to best favored Canaco Run (Chris Page) and I Scoot For Cash (Barker). Victor Gray Sr. and Victor Gray II share ownership of the winner and entrust the training to Tyler Tinch.

A race later, Harvard's Z Tam was dispatched at odds of 9-1, despite Ater's hot hand, and fronted Chip Of Art (Smith) and Panhellenic (Randy Tharps) to the wire in 1:58.l. Harry Groves conditions the 29-time winning son of Electric Yankee for Patrick Groves. Coincidentally the final three wins for Ater all came behind seven-year-old geldings.
