Trainer Linda Toscano has stated that upper echelon three-year-old pacing colt Kenneth J will be returning in 2008 to race at four.

"[The Matron] was his last start for the year, but he will race next year," Toscano was quoted as saying in a harnessracing.com article.

Toscano also mentioned that the reason the career $1,395,017 earner didn't contest the Breeders Crown at the Meadowlands was because of a quarter crack that had developed prior.

The trainer also said that the reason the career winner of 15 of 32 races contested the Matron was to give him the chance to hit the $1 million plateau in seasonal earnings since he was so close to the milestone.

Kenneth J ended up finishing out of the money in seventh.
