Ken Jacob's, Kenneth J, set a new track record of 1:52 en route a 1-length victory in the $40,000 Robert J. Kane Memorial Pace, Saturday night, (Oct-4) at Batavia Downs Gaming.

With Jim Morrill Jr. in the sulky for trainer Linda Toscano, Kenneth J, a 4 year-old son of Bettor's Delight blasted to command at the half in :55.4 and held Art's Ragin Jet (Jim McNeight) safe to lower Michael Scores all-aged record by a fifth of a second set in the 2006 Kane Memorial.

Maltese Artist (Matt Kakaley) recovered from an early miscue third.

The Kane Memorial is named for the former chairman of the board at Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation, owner of Batavia Downs Gaming.

It was the second Kane win for Jim Morrill Jr., he won the 2007 edition with Slickest Hanover.
