The 1.9/1 Azimut (6m Odessa Santana-ASida-Lets Go) took the big race clocked in 1.14.4kr and reined by trainer Josef Franzl. The German invader now sports three victories in his last four outings. Earlier in the program was the Laszlo Fekete Memorial (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) and the exceptional filly Longines (5f Conway Hall-Kentucky Love Song-Valley Victor), off at 1,3/1 odds, rallied off the final turn to score timed in 1.17.3kr over a sloppy track. Gyorgy Horvath teamed the Imre Fazekas trainee to her 15th career victory in 16 starts, improving her 2019 slate to 5-1-0 in six starts. The Istvan Szegedy Memorial (purse 1,200,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) began the International events and the 1.17.8kr timed victory went to 30.2/1 Alexander UR (5g Infinitif-Hoity Toity Face-Egon Lavec) reined by trainer Jozsef Rutkai for Prolongo Trading. The 1.6/1 favorite Uran Lady (6f Maximus Lindy-Vas Lady-Endless Sands) was a close second with Veljko Mazsity aboard, followed by 24.4/1 Promo Kemp (5m Muscle Hill-Armbro Waikiki-Garland Lobell) handled by Ferenc Nagy II for trainer Rutkai.
The 105th edition of the Hungaria DIJ (purse 4,000,000Huf, 2560 meters distance handicap) saw 11/1 Zseneroz (4f SJs Photo-Hitelezo-Witsends Speedy) overcome a 40-meter handicap to score in 1.18.1kr with Mitja Slavic at the lines. 6.7/1 Maugli (3m El Nino-Marista Vita-Zerberus) was second for driver/trainer Janko Sagaj. 7.6/1 Un Nuage d’Osmoz (11m Nuage Noir-L’Etoile d’Esprit), handicapped 60 meters, took third for Martin Redl, ahead of 1.8/1 fvaorite Vareke HB (3m Impelo Grif-Valcuma-Cumin) with Joze Segaj up for trainer Slavko Makovec.
