Denmark’s Knud Mönster won the title as the 2014 European Harness Racing Driver Champion.
He was in first position after day one at Solanget on Monday and achieved the total points victory after the second day at Umaker.
Mönster didn’t win any races during the Tuesday session but a second place was enough to grab the points total standings. This was the first Danish victory since 1989 when Birger Jönsson got the victory and driver Mönster was satisfied with his performance stating “previously I’ve won the Danish Derby and this win is just as big.”
Swedish driver Björn Goop won one race on Tuesday and with that victory took third place in the point standings.
“Even if I didn’t get first in the totals I think it has been a great championship. The races were fair drawn and different winners in each race indicates this. Everyone did great and I’m very proud of my work,” said Goop.
