Kymi Grand Prix field set for June 14 at Kouvola

The next round of Scandinavian trotting classics occurs Saturday at Kouvola, Finland with the Gr. I Kymi Grand Prix with a €150,000 purse (2100 meters autostart course).

Last year’s winner Womanizer will battle 2014 Elitloppet winner Timoko (Bjorn Goop to drive) and 11-year-old champion Commander Crowe, a winner last weekend at Wolvega against weak competiton.

Robin Bakker will team the Commander for trainer Fabrice Souloy.  Commander Crowe won this event in 2009 and 2012. Prussia, Italy’s Ken Warkentin mare that was sixth in the Elitloppet final, will be at the start for trainer/driver Pietro Gubellini. Jag de Bellouet recorded that fastest time in 2006 at 1.11.1kr.
