Lambert SAS (9m Diamond Way-Agena LB-Indro Park) won his sixth straight race (three in Budapest) on Saturday in the Kincsem Park featured Konta Dezso Memorial over 1900 meters autostart for a purse of 750,000HUf.

The veteran trotter was teamed by trainer Joze Sagaj for owner Alfred Hossmann II (SLO), and he scored in 1.14.6kr as the 3/2 odds pacesetter.

The victory increased the winners' earnings to over US$93,000. Principessa Ovi (5f Love You-Goldy LB) was a solid second for trainer/driver Mitja Slavic with Rose's La Nena (7f Pearsall Hanover-O'Hill's Rose) home third for trainer/driver Ire Dome. Nine aged trotters contested this event.

Earlier on the card HU Derby (August 3rd) hopeful San Francisco (3m Medic Hanover-Kentucky Girl-LV Glory Bound) was victorious over 1900 meters autostart in 1.18.9kr. He was an easy three-length winner at 19/1 for trainer/driver F. Nagy II. Sire Medic Hanover is a son of Meadow Road from Melon Hanover.

A solid group of HU-bred three year-old open trotters are primed to contest the Hungarian Trotting Derby onSunday August 3 at Kincsem Park.

Of the top 20 contestants, nine are sired by Valley Victory’s full-brother Wall Street Banker (Baltic Speed-Valley Victoria-Bonefish) whose progeny also represent five of the top six based on speed, three of which were bred by legendary commercial breeder Kabala Menes Kft.

Medic Hanover (by Meadow  Road) and Sholty Boko (by Spotlite Lobell) are sires of two each of the top 20, while those with one possible starter include Oncoming Hush (Sierra Kosmos), Incredible Cole (Incredible Abe) and What A Man (Conway Hall). In a related matter, on July 18 the HU version of the FR Quinte+ produced a large winning ticket worth US$45,900. It was reportedly the second winner of over 10 million HUf since the bet began five months ago and it occurred on a simulcast race from Cabourg.
