CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - The final regularly scheduled harness racing evening program of the 2019 calendar goes postward this Thursday and Collective Wisdom will look to deliver in her last seasonal race under the lights at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 12-dash Thursday card has a 6:30 P.M. post time and will be the final scheduled evening card of the meeting as action shifts to a Saturday-Sunday schedule with afternoon post times the following week.

Collective Wisdom is the favourite in the race 11 top pace for a $2,200 purse with Gilles Barrieau back in the bike for trainer Jackie Matheson and owner Woodmere Farms of Marshfield. The six-year-old daughter of American Ideal was a front end victor in her latest start in 1:58.1 and climbs up a class for this week but her competition still falls short of the Open Mares she has been banging heads with all season.

Innocent Kiss has post 3 in the field fresh off an eight-length romp in her latest for driver Adam Merner and trainer Chris Davies. Post 5 belongs to Dancers Pass (Driven by David Dowling) who scored a large upset in her last start while racing against the boys at 14-1 odds.

Race analyst Les MacIsaac takes Collective Wisdom for the top spot. "Collective Wisdom gets a post that should allow her to exploit that gate speed and get spotted on the lead or at the very least in position to sit and stalk all the way," MacIsaac said. "She'll be hard to deny."

Also in the field are Killean Finale (Ken Murphy), Bettim Vicky (Marc Campbell) and Drivingthedragon N (Jason Hughes).

The $2,250 Open Trot hits the track in race 7 with Freddie assigned the outside as he looks for win number 11 of the season in his 20th start this year for trainer-driver Campbell and owner Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston. Other top entries in the Open Trot include Summit City Nate (Barrieau) from post 1 and Majian Tango (Jim Ripley) from post 3.

Race 4 is the Lowther Refrigeration Ltd., pace with Narragansett favoured off the rail in the $1,400 class for driver Hughes and owner-trainer Ashley Gamester of Hunter River. The veteran son of Rocknroll Hanover will look for his first top three finish of the season after just returning to racing in September.
