Three yearlings from the first crop of the Inter Dominion and Miracle champion Lennytheshark will go under the hammer at the Australian Pacing Gold Sale at Oaklands Junction on Sunday, February 7.
Lot 217, a brown colt, is the first foal out of the Falcon Seelster mare Kerry Sheffield (2:00.2), a close relative of the 2013 APG winner and 2YO Filly of the Year Mindarie Priddy 1:53.8 ($284,659).
A pair of Lennytheshark fillies will be offered as Lots 231 and 253. Lot 231 is a brown filly out of a winning Village Jasper half-sister to Mindarie Priddy, while Lot 253 is the first foal from the Badlands Hanover mare Showgirl Shere, a half-sister to four sub 2:00 winners including the top Victorian racemare Pacific Charm 1:57.5 ($221,369).
Warrawee Needy, the leading first crop sire in NSW and the second on the Australian list in 2020, was represented by winners at Redcliffe (3YOF Amander) and in Ohio, USA (Farro’s Reign 1:55.2 and Deprived 1:56.2).
Our ‘new’ sire Renaissance Man sired a couple of impressive winners in Western Australia recently. Fifty Five Reborn took her stake tally to beyond $100,000 with an end-to-end win at Gloucester Park, while the three-year-old filly Songkran posted her first success at Northam.
