Libra Vita and Photo Maxx, both 1:56.2 winners in last starts meet in $26,000 Open Handicap trot, on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Dover Downs. An $18,000 trot heads the strong harness racing undercard. First post is at 4:30 p.m.

Driver Corey Callahan and Libra Vita have been a winning team in four of his last five races for owners Howard Taylor and Tom Lazzaro. Last start Lauren Allen’s Photo Maxx closed strongly to win for Mike Cole for his first victory of the meet Starsel, owned by Glenn DelRusso, Charles Dombeck and driver Daryl Bier has been either first or second in his six starts this meet with two wins. Fabulous Farms’ Victors Vicky and Ron Pierce gets a choice post with Ron Pierce driving from the rail.

The rest of the field includes Cold Winner with Roger Plante driving for Dawn Gannon, Frank Canzone and Yannick Gingras. Amy and Stewart Oldford own upset minded Nordic Venture and Vince Copeland. Second Hand News, a winner of three of his last four for trainer Gary Evans and Foulk Stable will have Matt Kakaley at the controls.

The sub-feature is an $18,000 trot. Three starters drop down from the Open ranks while two others return after partaking in a series at Chester Downs. Tony Poliseno’s Man About Town (Daryl Bier), Arty Foster’s Spunky Vic (Tony Morgan), Perfect Man, owned by driver Vic Kirby and Pearl Kirby, driver George and Tina Dennis ad ASK Y Stable’s Uwantapieceofme, all raced in the Open class while Tom Barrett’s LT’s Best (Vince Copeland) and Jeff Bartels’ The Budster (Tim Curtin) raced in the Harrah’s Boulevard the last two starts.

William Moffett’s Good Feeling (Eddie Davis Jr.) won his last two starts while Batalj Launcher (Ron Pierce) has been in the money in his last seven outings, and Jeff Bartels’ The Budster (Tim Curtin) can not be overlooked starting from the post 1.

Monday through Thursday post time is 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday races start at 5:30 p.m. There is no live racing on Fridays. There is no charge for parking or admission. Reservations are suggested for the Winner's Circle Restaurant 302-674-4600.
