Young local horsewoman Mary Elliott will make her racing debut this weekend at Cranbourne.
From Neerim East, Mary is a past graduate of the Gippsland Harness Training Centre, and has worked for local trainer for several years.
On Saturday night Mary will drive Drop Of Paradise in the Trotters Handicap. Mary has driven this mare and numerous others in barrier trials over time to gain her confidence and the mandatory experience before being able to compete in races.
She is a natural talent at training and driving horses, and will accquit herself well in Saturday's race.
No doubt Mary's family and friends will be trackside to cheer her on in what will be an exciting occasion for all concerned.
