Chris McErlean, vice president of racing operations for the Meadowlands, has reportedly accepted a buyout offered by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority and will soon begin a new role with Penn National Gaming.

The Asbury Park Press reports that McErlean, who has worked at the Meadowlands for 14 years, will run racing for Penn National Gaming. The company operates Bangor Raceway, Freehold Raceway, Penn National Racecourse and Raceway Park in addition to numerous casinos.

Buyout offers were reportedly made to a number of New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority employees.
