Mach Beauty today confirmed what many have long thought; he is a harness racing star of the future.

The Mach Three speedster boomed to the front early, before taking the sting out of his opposition down the back straight with a dazzling 27.6 quarter. The Shane Tritton trained four-year-old then responded strongly under the urgings of Guy Chapple to race away with the Shadow Play Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge for the 4YO Entires & Geldings, setting a new Australian four-year-old record of 2:44.6 for the 2,300m journey in the process.

Heza Presidente finished into second once coming of the back of Mach Beauty to issue his challenge, while Major Gambler spiced up the trifecta by finishing into third in front of the well supported Grand Stride.

The win provided Keinbah based Tritton with his first Group One training success, capping off what has already been a stellar season for him.

Mach Beauty will now north for the Brisbane Winter Carnival at Albion Park next month.

Tritton has circled the Gr.3 $45,000 Knudsen's Betta Home Living 4 & 5yo Championship on July 6 followed by the Gr.2 $60,000 Garrards Sunshine Sprint and the Gr.1 $100,000 SEW Eurodrive Blacks A Fake on the final night of the carnival.

"Although we miss the opening night of the carnival, there are still three very good races for him over the coming weeks including the Sprint and the Blacks A Fake.

I'm certain he will prove to be very competitive in Queensland, I'm really looking forward to racing him in the sprint race because he's just so fast," said Tritton prior to today's emphatic victory.
