One of last season’s Grand Circuit stars, Mah Sish, showed he is ready to resume with a tidy win at today’s trials at Addington.
The seven-year-old son of Mach Three, who along with Terror To Love started from 40 metres behind, finished off stoutly to overhaul stablemate Greenburn Creek over the concluding stages.
Pass Them By, a newcomer to the Tim Butt barn, finished hot on their heels in third, while dual New Zealand Cup champion Terror To Love never left his trailing position and was full of running at the line.
Terror To Love, like usual, was turned out in fantastic order and looks as big and strong as ever.
Mah Sish stopped the clock at 3-20.4 for the 2600m journey. His final sectionals were recorded in a tidy 56.8 and 28.3.
It was Mah Sish’s second trial win in a row since comensing this campaign. His first was a 3-14.4 (2600m) win over Jivin Cullen and Choise Achiever at Rangiora last week.
