On a warm night with temperatures in the mid 60’s, the two speed horses in the Dover Downs feature finished first and second.
Bluebird Jesse and Majestic Marvel were the quickest to leave from the starting gate. Bluebird Jesse muscled his way to the top and Majestic Marvel retreated to the pocket. Bluebird Jesse was able to set uncontested fractions of 28 to the quarter. The half was reached in 57.1.
Swan Legacy pulled off the rail from sixth, before the half. Pat Berry hustled Swan Legacy 1st over and pressured Bluebird Jesse to the three quarters in 1:25.1
At the top of the stretch, Swan Legacy weakened and Perfect Stick circled three wide but was unable to gain any ground. At the 7/8th pole, Corey Callahan and Majestic Marvel found a seam in the passing lane and surged past Bluebird Jesse at the wire. Majestic Marvel (Majestic Son) won by a neck in 1:53.2.

Bluebird Jesse, the 1/5 race favorite, lost in the photo and finished 2nd for trainer Jim King Jr. Tim Tetrick drove.
Whimzical Chapter, was third for trainer Josh Green. Victor Kirby drove.
