HARRINGTON, Del. – Frank Chick's Majestic Mistress ($6.80, Mike Cole) was a 1:54.3 harness racing winner in the $15,000 Open Trot Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old Majestic Son mare was a recent acquisition and had an impressive performance in her local debut for trainer Kevin Lare with a front stepping and dominant victory over Drazzmatazz and Murmur Hanover. It was the second win of the season for "Mistress" and ninth of her career.
Driver Victor Kirby had the hot hand once again, after a four win night on Monday, he followed up with another grand slam Tuesday.
In the $11,000 Open II Trot, Bill Emmons' Battle Mage ($7.40, Russell Foster) was a 1:57.2 winner for trainer Eric Ell, who was celebrating a birthday. All Shoes On Deck was second with I'm So Striking third.
Mike Cole, Art Stafford Jr., Montrell Teague and Ross Wolfenden each had a double.
