HARRINGTON, Del. – Major Uptrend ($2.60, Tony Morgan) was a dominant 1:53 harness racing winner Monday at Harrington Raceway in the $16,000 Open pace.
Heavily supported by the betting public, the 7-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding left from post position six and immediately made the front and never relented in a confident win over Dialamara and Sawbuck Hanover.
Owned by Crissman Inc., and Niss Allen Inc., it was the fifth win of the year for the Tim Crissman-trainee, who has banked more than $533,000 in his career. Major Uptrend, a former $177,000 yearling, most recently completed a banner meet at Dover Downs, with multiple wins in the Preferred ranks.
Driver Mike Cole had three winners on the 13-race card. Morgan and Eddie Davis Jr. each had a double on the card.
