This Solvalla evening program was superb, led by the Gr. I International Jubileumspokalen (1 million SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters) where Makethemark (5m Maharajah-Global Naughty-Conway Hall) scored timed in 1.10.8kr.

Ulf Ohlsson teamed the Petri Salmela trainee to his third 2018 victory in eight starts and 20th career win in 41 appearances. The Stall Nian trotter now has 4,636,450SEK earned for his career.

The 3.9/1 odds Makethemark defeated Milligan’s School (5m Yankee Glide-Tori Ann-SJs Photo) that Ulf Eriksson drove for owner/trainer Stefan Melander. This one was bred in the USA by Richard and Joyce McClelland of Ohio, also co-owners of Pinkman. Third in this event was Cyber Lane (5g Raja Mirchi-Sybaris Hanover-Cantab Hall) with trainer Johan Untersteiner aboard. Double Exposure (5f Donato Hanover-KD Girl-Self Possessed) was fourth.

On the card was also the Prix Maharajah (Mares European Championship, 900,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters autostart, 12 starters).Darling Mearas (5f Cantab Hall-Khao Manee-Muscles Yankee) scored easily at 8.1/1 odds for trainer Stefan Persson and owner Snogarps Gard AB timed in 1.11.4kr, for her third 2018 victory in six starts and 11th career win in just 22 outings.

She now sports 6,069,500SEK in career earnings. Finland’s Ranch Kelly (10f Tsar d’Inverne-Gabriela Kemp-Speedy Somolli) was second for driver Hannu Torvinen and third was In Toto Sund (6f Ken Warkentin-Marsia LB-Windsongs Legacy) with Orjan Kihlstom up. Trendy OK and I Love Paris completed the top five.

Other important winners on the card were Amalia Cash (5f Ready Cash-La Pensee-Think Tank) in the Queen L Mares timed in 1.14.1kr and worth 100,000SEK to the winner; Heart Of Steel (4g Cantab Hall-Angel Heikant-Open The Sky) for Thor Berg in the Ahlsell Legends timed in 1.14kr and with a 100,000 first prize (other legend drivers were Stig H. Johansson, Olle Goop, Helen A. Johansson, Ulf Nordin, Stefan Hultman, Boye Olstoren, Kerryn Manning, Cark-Erik Lindblom, Sven-Erik Landin);

Carabinieri (7m Wellino Boko-Dew Princess-JR Broline) in the Hubo Buss Stayerlopp (200,000SEK to winner, 3140 meters voltstart distance handicap) timed in 1.13.3kr overcoming a 40 meter handicap; Zahra Mil (3f Nad Al Sheba-Cleo d’Alfa-Armbro Goal) at 21.7/1 odds from post 12 in the Wallenius Cup for three year old fillies (150,000SEK first prize, 1640 meters autostart) timed in 1.12.1kr for driver Cark Johan Jepson and trainer Jerry Riordan; and Snowstorm Hanover (4m Muscle Massive-Snow Angel Hanover-Andover Hall) in the Big Noon (300,000SEK first money, 1640 meters distance handicap) timed in 1.11.7kr from a 20 meter handicap, driven by Orjan Kihlstom for owner/trainer Stefan Melander.
