Marc Campbell had six winners at Red Shores

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The ‘King’ of Island racing was top driver of the Thursday evening program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Marc Campbell recorded three wins on the Thursday card including the $2,250 Open trot. Freddie prevailed in that class in 2:00 in a neck decision over Hop Up (Driven by Corey MacPherson) while Suicide Shift (Steven Shepherd) finished third.

Campbell trains Freddie for Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston.

Campbell’s first win of the night came with another trotter from his Charlottetown stable as Incredible Hally took a maiden record of 2:05.1. The two-year-old daughter of Angus Hall delivered on her post time promise as the betting favourite.

The night was closed out as Campbell teamed up with the Michel Allard trained Imagine Speed to win a division of the Alpine $5,000 claiming series in 1:58 and extend the driver’s lead on the dash win title to 59 on the season at the capital oval.

The other Alpine split was won by Leaving A Legacy in 1:59.1 for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Patrick Shepherd.

The race 6 Grant Thornton Pace went to Bettorthanbobbie in 1:59.3 for driver Mark Bradley, trainer Tom Weatherbie and owner Ian Smith of Charlottetown.
