Hall of Fame reinsman Frederick Ross (FR) Kersley will return to Gloucester Park on Friday night as a driver, when he partners another superstar of the sport, Im Themightyquinn.

Kersley, who dominated Perth harness racing winning 14 trainers premiership and 17 drivers premierships, will return to the sulky and drive champion pacer Im Themightyquinn in  special ‘workout’ between races five and six on Friday night.

Kersley has not driven competitively for almost a decade, but will come out of retirement for this special occasion to partner one of the greatest pacers of all time, Im Themightyquinn as the three-time Inter Dominion winner prepares for his race track return in the coming weeks.

Two Champions of two different era’s will combine for a special harness racing moment. The special promotion was proposed by ‘Quinny’s’ trainer Gary Hall Sr.

“I grew up idolising Fred (Kerlsey)” said Hall

“He dominated and gave all the trainers and drivers of my era something to aspire to, and to have the great FRK drive a champion I train is simply amazing”

Kersley travelled to Hall’s Serpentine stable during the week to get a feel of the champ and have a practice run before his return to Gloucester Park.

“He feels like a Rolls Royce” enthused Kersley

“He’s an amazing animal, it’s a big thrill for me” he added
