With the Miracle Mile only six weeks away the harness racing at Tabcorp Park Menangle is starting to build towards fever pitch and this Saturday night’s card is very strong. Beautide is back at the races for the first time in eight months while the three year old fillies tune up for next month’s NSW Oaks by competing in the Gr. 3 Raith Memorial.
HRNSW’s Amanda Rando has passed on her best bets for the meeting and is very keen on the chances of Express Stride in race four. The former kiwi is now in the Belinda McCarthy stable and arrives with a very big reputation courtesy of some strong performances earlier in his career. The son of Bettor's Delight has not raced since the Kaikoura meeting in November but Amanda expects him to make a winning start to his Australian campaign.
Next best according to Amanda is the John McCarthy trained Monifieth. He returned to his best last week when he produced a whirlwind finish and was second behind Bling It On. Beautide will resume but is first up in eight months and Amanda expects Monifieth’s fitness to be an important factor.
