Michigan Hall of Fame horseman Ron Wrenn, 62, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, after battling with cancer.
Mr. Wrenn was a member of one of Michigan's founding families of harness racing. Among others, he is the brother of Peter Wrenn, who is one of the sport's leading drivers and is also a member of Michigan's Hall of Fame.
Ron Wrenn is also the father of Ronnie Wrenn Jr., who led the national dash standings in 2013 and is among the leading drivers in the sport again this year.
In honor of his father, Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. will be switching his driving colors from brown and white to those of his father, maroon and white.
