Delaware, OH – The hottest new game board on the market in horse racing, Midwest Harness Racing Board Game, will be on sale at the Little Brown Jug starting Tuesday morning next week.
Samuel Borntreger of Edgar, Wisconsin created the game that is only on sale by internet or telephone and currently not available in any stores.
Borntreger, 30, is Amish and knows about harness racing from the grass roots, the county fairs where horsemen race for purses and there is no betting. He has always liked harness racing. His brother-in-law, a blacksmith who also breaks (trains) harness horses for trainer/owners and then give them back to them before they begin their racing careers, helped him develop the idea for the game.
The game allows players to buy, breed and raise horses, race them in both county fairs and major stakes events and along the way you have pay for training, hay and fee, the blacksmith and other positive and negative aspects of the sport.
The game will be sold only at the Harnesslink.com booth located in the vendors tent between the Log Cabin and the race paddock.
The cost of the game is $40 and must be paid in cash, no credit cards or checks will be accepted. There are only a limited number of the games shipped in and they will be sold on a first come, first served bases.
